I was reading a BBC article about model Karolina Kurkova's lack of a belly button (the European "riddle of the £2.5m beauty"), when I saw the following quote from someone else who didn't have a belly button:
"I thought about having one constructed when I was getting interested in girls, but not for long," (Rob Swainson) says, adding that people are more surprised by his scar than his lack of a navel. "You only have to look at Michael Jackson to realise it's probably best to live with what you've got."
That last sentence about Michael Jackson made me stop and chuckle a bit…
The Supreme Being made us in his image – and while I know there are times where we humans must have reconstruction surgery due to accidents or medical reasons, I think over all, we need to be happy with what we have been given.
In other words, if only more people thought like Mr. Swainson.
